As the season turns toward Thanksgiving, we gather in reverence for the living world that sustains us.
All That Holds is an immersive basketry experience rooted in gratitude, presence, and the art of making by hand. Inspired by the spirit of the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address-an offering of thanks to the earth, waters, plants, animals, and skies-this gathering invites you into a slower, more attentive way of being.
Together, we will move through a guided experience of sensory awareness and reflection, honoring the materials we work with and the interconnected systems that make our lives possible. Natural fibers soften in your hands. The scent of dried herbs lingers in the air. Warm light, shared food, and ambient rhythm create a space that feels both grounding and expansive.
You will be guided through the foundational techniques of basketry, creating a vessel of your own while engaging in a deeper, more contemplative process; one that asks not only what you are making, but what you are holding.
Seasonal food and drink will be served, thoughtfully prepared to reflect the time of year and the abundance of the land.
This is not simply a workshop, but an opportunity to return to gratitude, to craftsmanship, and to a sense of belonging within the natural world.
To aid in the accessibility of this offering, tickets are available on a sliding scale at three levels of support. Please note that there are limited quantities of each. We ask for participants to register at the highest possible level to reduce barriers to access for all.
